BarcelonaMalaverany is a metal band from Barcelona , Spain , that plays close to what is known as death metal and doom metal genres, and that writes all lyrics in català, which is our mother tongue. The group establishment comes back in Spring 2003, when Marky, once the drummer of the black/melodic death metal act Black Tear which had split up recently, and Isaac meet and decide to start a new musical project. In the year 2004 is when Quim, Tony & David join the band and complete our line-up.
Some members of Malaverany have been part of the extreme metal scene with bands such as: Black Tear (melodic black-death metal), Insanity Mind (one of the first bands ever to play death metal in Spain ), Nocturn (Black Metal) or Channeling (Gothic Metal).
On November 2005, we recorded our first self titled demo CD.
