Toucan Joes

Toucan Joes is a young energetic rock band from Copenhagen with members at the age of 16. Hardcore rock with the sense of good melodies and catchy riffs. The aggressive guitar-work is being support by a loud tight bass, tough drums and a solid rock-vocal. 200 km/h and volume way a bow permission. Combine the guitar riffs of the 70th, the impact of the 80th, raw power from the 90th play the drums at double tempo and turns up the guitar and you’ve got Toucan Joes.

The boys were remarkable at the Danish competitions Melody Maker Contest 2006. They were the youngest ever to participate, and they won the great finale. “Band of the year” & “Best front akt”. This gave them a recording deal in the legendary Danish studio, Sweet Silence (Metallica, D-A-D, Mew etc.) The judges, holding producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, D-A-D etc), Nick Foss (Copenhagen Records) and others, were never in doubt. They spoke: “the most homogenous band of the night and some good damn young talents”.

The band has existed since autumn 2004. Were they found each other after division among the local bands. Rapid they found their style. ROCK! Toucan Joes recorded a three-tracked demo in their own studio, Ibrahim Social Club, which comes out to be a nice result after a mix and a mastering by Ziggy Siegfredsen in ZigZound. It was that demo that brought them from the garage to shows like Melody Maker Contest, SPIL:festival 06, Sommer Rock at Nemoland. The band played the biggest Clubs of Copenhagen. Pumpehuset, Rust, Vega & The Rock.
All this within any in the band turned 17.
